Recipe:
- 16 oz shredded beef (w/o BBQ)
- Taco shells
- Taco seasoning* (Recipe below. If you do decide to purchase it, check the ingredients for unwanted additives like MSG.)
Optional toppings: diced tomato, sour cream, guacamole, diced onion, salsa, lettuce
Directions:
Heat thawed beef in a pot on the stove over medium heat. Add spices. If needed, add a small amount of water to mix in the spices. When meat is warm, put in taco shells and top with desired toppings.
*Taco Seasoning:
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: crushed red pepper flakes (will add some spice!)
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together. Can be prepared in larger quantities so it’s ready when you need it. Three tablespoons is equivalent to one store-bought packet.
