Labor Day
Labor Day is traditionally the bookend to a fabulous (we hope!) summer, when days are growing shorter and the kids are getting ready for school. Celebrate the start of football season or the last warm weather three-day weekend before winter with some tasty meals.
Our menu includes Grilled Alaskan Halibut, Delmonico Steak, Cajun Shrimp, We’ve also included some quick and healthy snacks to help ease your transition into fall.
Grilled Alaskan Halibut

Ingredients:
Brush the fish with lime juice, sprinkle with salt and pepper, set aside for about 20 minutes.
Make the sauce: melt butter and olive oil in a small pan over low heat. Add garlic and sauté for about 2-3 minutes. Add the cilantro and remaining lime juice and stir for one minute. Remove from heat and cover.
Pre-heat grill to medium-high. Place fish on grill until just opaque in the center, about 4-5 minutes on each side.
Remove filets from grill and pour the sauce over them and serve.

Delmonico Steaks

Ingredients
- 2 Delmonico Steaks
- Salt and pepper
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- 3/4 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tsp. garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. Butter
Pat steaks dry and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place steaks on a grill pre-heated to medium, turning once half-way through cooking. Heat a skillet on medium-high. Melt butter and add onions, mushrooms, and garlic. Sauté until onions are translucent but still a little firm.

Cajun Shrimp

Ingredients
- 2 lbs. shrimp
- 1 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. dried thyme
- 3/4 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper (more if you really like it hot!)
- 1-2 Tbsp. oil
Thaw shrimp. Add all ingredients, except oil, into a zip-lock bag or large bowl. Mix well so that all the shrimp is coated with the spices. Heat a large cast iron skillet to medium and add oil, then add the shrimp. Cook until the shrimp is opaque.
