My mom has switched to Paleo for health reasons (rheumatoid arthritis). I think she deserves to win not only because she is awesome, but because she is making an effort to be healthy.

My mom deserves to win because she had 14 kids!
Posted @ Friday, May 04, 2012 3:03 PM by Loretta
My mom has been through so much in the last year that I feel she deserves to win. In the past year she has had her mother in law move into her home during a divorce and dealign with dementia, my daughter and I move into the house due to finances and to help with grandma, my daughter and I move out of the house ot live with my husband (major empty nest syndrome anyone), my grandma die, her marraige nearly collapse under the strain of dementia (my grandmothers), my dads dad die (and the stress of dealign with his estate), her health problems increase, my dad try to commit suicide, her losing her job due to all of the health problems and family problems, and now they are looking at losing their home and my aunt (her sister) is dieing from rectal cancer. I think she deserves something awesome come into her life and I want to make her flank steak skewers with broccoli for those who don't like broccoli.

Oh, and she has gone through all of this with more love, strength, and passion than I could ever imagine a person having. She is strong, supportive, giving, forgiving, loving, and all around amazing. She even re-proposed to my dad for Christmas and is planning their vow renewal this June, including growing her own garden to make it as beautiful as they are!

I am the mom and I have undergone cancer 3 times and have survived and have done my best for my step kids and their 8 children.

My mom has been the most amazing person since my switch to paleo in October. She has been nothing but supportive to me and my entire family. Whether it's buying me grass-fed beef and pastured eggs, or helping me through emotional issues, she's there no matter what. Also, my dad has been very angry and mean to us since our switch to paleo due to him loving wheat, being an alcoholic, and being skeptical about everything paleo. He constantly bashes our views on nutrition and my mom has been nothing but kind in return and keep my calm. She cooks all of my food, does all my laundry, buys all my food(which is at times rather expensive at times). I love her and everything she's done for me and wish nothing more than to repay her somehow. I think my mom deserves this because she's the most loving and kind person I know, and has been supportive in every way.

My Mom deserves to win because she is always doing things for us and others and needs something good to be done for herself! We live in different states so I can't be there as often as I would like to thank her. This would be the perfect gift!

My mom has helped us through six years of my 7 year old's various diagnoses. I finally cleared enough of my dining room to be able to have a formal dinner and plan to do that on Mothers' Day to thank my mom for all she has done for me.

My mom it's the best mommy ever! She should get all the grass fed beef!

My mother is my best friend, and deserves so much from me. This would be a great start for her health and I just want to show her how much she means to me.

My mom is trying to convert her 5 kids to the paleo way of life and if we could grill some grass fed steaks for her on Mother's Day that would be great

My mom died 5 years ago, and she will be missed when my daughter delivers my first grandchild this year. I would like to nominate my daughter for the Mother's Day prize. As a very young woman, her husband died. God was with her through it all, and she is remarried to a wonderful man. They are excited to become parents. She is eating healthy and taking good care of herself. She will be a great mom because she is an awesome, strong, and wise person and daughter!

My mom deserves to win because she has encouraged me to be the best that I can be and works so hard for her family.

My mother deserves to win because she has many health related issues and once she sees how delicious healthy can be, she'll never go back!

I'm writing on behalf of my wife, and I know our kids, ages 5 and 14 would agree that their mom deserves to win this prize package of healthy meats. It's been a year now since she went Paleo and brought us all along on this path with her. We resisted at first, but she did not give in or up on us. She prepares healthy meals for us using only grass-fed/pastured meat, organic veggies, and probably most difficult of all-- broke us from our sugar addiction. She spends untold hours planning, assembling, cooking, and educating us about food and nutrition. It has truly been an awakening that has improved our family on so many levels! This was not an easy transition, esp. for our teenager who kicked and screamed the first few months but now that he feels better and getting better results w/ athletic performance, he is one of the biggest advocates of a Paleo lifestyle! In addition to everything she has done to get our family on a healthier track she has become a beacon of light and hope to numerous friends and family members who regularly call her for recipes, tips, and info on Paleo living.

My mom deserves this because she worked so hard working 3 jobs while we were kids to support us. And to this day, she still is there whenever we need her. So this day means a lot. I'll be cooking up hamburgers of course.

My mother is my best friend and I thank God every day that she is still thriving in her 80's. (even white battling severe scoliocis, every type of arthritis, and a bad heart.) She has helped me become the woman I am and I KNOW she loves grassfed beef, as I brought her some when I visited from another state and we made burgers. (Try explaining that to airport security!) :) A big shout out to everybody's mothers in the whole wide world.

I would like my mom Michele Millikan to win because she has been through a lot with losing my dad to taking care of sister who is deaf and handicapped all her 35 years. On top of it all she has been working and trying to workout. In her efforts to lose weight it has been very hard and I have found great success with eating organically and lost my weight so I was thinking this would be a great intro for her to get a jump start on her weight loss and get healthy! All the best and thanks for the opportunity.

Its pretty obvious that all great & wonderful Moms have nurtured their children, thru thick & thin. My Mom deserves to win in appreciation for all the subtle actions of being a great & wonderful Mom. Examples: giving me a necklace from a flea market that was magic & removed my childhood nightmares, she would ride with me on rollercoaster's even though she endures motion sickness the list is endless. It's moments like those that she never received thankfulness. She deserves to be recognized in a special way - as she has done so many special things without recognition.

I am the mom. I have fibromyalgia and celiac disease and work hard to eat healthy foods. I thrive on US Wellness beef and Vital Choice sockeye salmon. I keep a positive outlook by staying close in fellowship with God. My daughter and husband have ADHD. I work hard to help my daughter with schoolwork. Having ADHD in the family contributes to my health challenges and is a daily stress. My mom was a great support and wonderful friend to me. She recently died after a struggle with heart disease and rheumatoid arthritis. She was strong and loving; and I strive everyday to follow in her footsteps. Thanks for the opportunity.

My Mom took of 80 pounds 7 years ago on a low carb-paleo plan. She has kept every single pound off all these years and strictly stuck to her healthy eating plan despite my dad passing and now only having a small widows benefit for income. She has not been able to exercise since I was a child so she maintains her health and weight loss with good diet only. She is very creative in this area.

This would be quite a treat for her!

For Mother's Day I don't plan to cook at all. :) I'm hoping that someone special will cook a delicious grass-fed steak for me.

Mother's Day is a day to spend with my family. They mean so much to me.

My wife (mother of our two kids) went Primal about a year ago, quickly lost about 30 pounds she'd been fighting for YEARS, and has kept it off...simply by eating right. She cooks primal for all of our meals and we love it. This fantastic package of meat you're giving away is the kind of food that we really can't afford to buy, but would love to be able to eat!

Of course, like all the moms out there, mine too is selfless, caring, kind, and an amazing woman. I believe being a mother is the most sacred, special job on earth and my mother is among the best. She has had to endure more than her fair share of heartache and loss and on top of it all she has taken care of my aunt who is mentally handicapped for the last 16 years ever since my Grammie passed away. We have a laundry list of chronic disease that runs on our family and I have been trying to get her on the cleanest nutritional plan I can so that she can be the first in our family to make it past 65. She has no other family left except got me and my kids and my aunt whom she takes care of and I want to ensure that her quality of life is the best it can be and I know that the food we put into our bodies holds the key to our health and longevity. My mom does so much for others and it's time for her to get a little recognition for all she does. Thanks for your consideration!!

My mom just recently started cooking paleo for us when we come over. We need to stock her fridge with healthy foods with your help. She is the best mom!

My mom is 90 and still going strong. She lives with me and we switched to Paleo last year. It has helped with her diabetes and her overall mood is strong. My mom is just plain awesome.

All Mothers Deserve to Win! Happy Mother's Day!
Posted @ Monday, May 07, 2012 11:57 AM by Dana
I give my mom a gift of flowers or food for mother's day most years. She doesn't want stuff. Last year I cooked morrel mushrooms stuffed with crabmeat for her. This year I made her a jar of preserved lemons. My father and I will be exploring new recipes to use them in the coming months.
All mom's deserve wonderful food and we all love our own mom the most and I'm no exception. She deserves to win just because she is mom.

My mom deserves to win because she put up with me and my 3 brothers!
Posted @ Monday, May 07, 2012 12:15 PM by Mike
First off I believe all mothers deserve this, they are all special in their own ways.

Second, I believe my mother deserves this because she has been through so many terrible events in her life including 2 abusive husbands. But through all of it she still raised my 2 sisters and I the best she could with so much love and caring for all of us! I finally got her to quit smoking and she wants to start paleo, eating whole, organic foods as she has seen me do. This would be perfect for her to get kick-started!

Thanks for creating this awesome giveaway for all the mothers out there!

Good luck to everyone!!!

My Mom is a work-aholic! At 61 she continues to run her own small-business as an electrical contractor. She works all hours of the day and frequently short-changes herself in order to make sure that her employees are taken care of.

One of the pleasures she enjoys, when she is able to make time for it, is gourmet cooking. She lives in a relatively remote coastal town and her local access to quality ingredients (other than seafood, of course) is rather limited. I would love to be able to provide her with delicious, high-quality meat to "play with". Thank you for your consideration!

My Mom deserves to win because she is my Mom! :) I can't cook for her for Mother's Day, but will be cooking her a meal in early June when I go back home to visit. I'd love to grill her up some healthy GF beef! My Mom has always been there for me, no matter what. I joined the Air Force at 19 and moved several time zones away. She took calls from me about how to boil eggs, how to get stains out, how to do just about everything I should have remembered. She is a strong and wonderful woman and I love her very much!!

My mom deserves this delicious gift because she has just been diagnosed with celiac disease and she's always looking for something she can eat that won't make her sick. This definitely fits the bill!
Posted @ Monday, May 07, 2012 9:42 PM by Danah R
My mom deserves to win because despite my "loveliness" during my teenage years, she still loved me unconditionally. She is now one of my best friends and the greatest grandma to my children. I love that woman with all of my heart.
Posted @ Monday, May 07, 2012 11:10 PM by Nicole
I have the best mom ever! She's my best friend and has been through everything with me. She deserves the world, but some meat would be great too!
