TYH's Bread Recipe

  • 3 cups organic sprouted flour
  • 2 cups organic whole buttermilk
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/3 cup raw honey
  • 2 teaspoons aluminum-free baking soda
  • 1/4 cup organic butter, melted

Mix flour and buttermilk into a dough by hand, in electric stand mixer or food processor.  Thoroughly blend in remaining ingredients.  Pour into a well-buttered and floured loaf pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 1 - 1 1/2 hours, or until a toothpick comes out clean.  NOTE: You may want to experiment with oven temps and time.  WE use a convection oven at 300 degrees for 50-55 minutes.

Where do you get sprouted flour????

I love and only use the Essential Eating Sprouted Flours sold by Shiloh Farms and available at most health food stores and online at Shiloh Farms.com. Check out why their flour is so superior at EssentialEating.com. Most sprouted flours make heavy and dense baked goods, BUT not so with the Essential Eating sprouted flours. I also buy their sprouted pretzels and sprouted pasta. Delicious.

Evelyn,
We get our sprouted flour from To Your Health Sprouted Flour Co. Their website is: http://organicsproutedflour.net/
I had expected the baked goods to be dense, but they weren't at all! I hope you enjoy the sprouted flour as much as I do!
